We are Recruiting !

Merchandise Buyer / Production Manager

Do you care how and where Merchandise is manufactured?

Are you a responsible, organised and detailed Production Manager?

Do you value sustainability, ethical values and a responsible business approach?   Then you would fit right in with our award-winning team!

We are looking for a Merchandise Production Manager to drive and manage our production business unit. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day orders and the ongoing management of our existing and new supply partners. As Production Manager you will also be responsible for processing all client projects and orders, working closely with the client service team.

You will be expected to deliver high-quality, accurate work and have excellent purchasing skills. With the support of the CEO and Client Service Director (CSD) you will ensure that all existing supply partners meet our strict ethical and compliance requirements and that new suppliers have undergone our onboarding compliance process.

Specifically you will keep updated all the details of supply partners in order to comply with our core business values. You will also keep the team updated with all new products and offers from our core supply partners, and build on those relationships while delivering on our KPIs.

This is an exciting, varied and challenging role. It encompasses order management, core supplier development, process improvement, supplier negotiation and supply data management. You will report to and have the support from the CEO and CSD but you are expected to lead and drive this role as a manager.

We are looking for someone who has worked in purchasing/production for at least two years, one of which is in a corporate merchandise or premium sector, or had a good working knowledge of printing processes and terminology; who is a multi-tasker and has excellent communication skills (written and verbal); who is an excellent project manager and problem solver; has a proven track record of managing multiple workflows in a fast paced environment and superb attention to detail.

This is a very exciting time at The Sourcing Team and we want ambitious, detailed and organised people to join our production department. We want people who are interested in working with a forward looking, award-winning and industry-leading company that specialises in sustainable and ethical global sourcing of promotional products.

We are a small team based in Wallington, South London, and we lead the way in responsible sourcing, working for a wide variety of exciting public, private and not-for-profit client brands. Salary is between £25,000 - £30,000, subject to experience, with attractive benefits including 20 days leave plus bank holidays, birthday, an additional 3 days for Christmas Closure and a Health Care Cash Back Scheme.
